To start with we have selected a village of Tamil Nadu ie Kattanur. As our member strength will grow stronger and stronger we will start selecting more number of schools from different parts of the country.
1.MISSION KATTANUR
Kattanur is a remote village in the district of Viruthunagar suitated in south Tamil Nadu. It is the only village in the taluk to have a government higher secondary school with hostel facility for men. The school being located in a remote village lacks many infrastructure facilities like teaching faculty shortage, drinking water facility, lack of proper sanitation etc. Especially the higher secondary students suffer a lot due to unavailability of teachers for their specific group like computer science, economics, commerce. Improper sanitation problem forced many female students above ninth standard to drop out of their schooling.
As a first intiative of Project Karmapath, ‘MISSION KATTANUR’ is ventured to solve this issue. It is proposed to fund the salary of a computer science teacher(@Rs.7000/- per month) to the higher secondary section till their board exams(march 2010) along with provision of 2 computer systems.

1. "Things don't change until we let them to.And if there is an opportunity to change things for the betterment of others,its worth giving a shot.
I know many of my friends and colleagues who all wont to do something for others, but the desire becomes in the heart itself coz we don't give that thing the priority it needs.And i m no different in this regard and there is nothing to hide ,but the fact is that if it is not started it wont be done.So it doesn't matters starting big or small, what matters is we have made that desire to come out at last.
I really don't know much about that village for which Project KARMA PATH is started, but on thing is sure we have got a work to complete. And its not the only village where we can improve upon the facilities with our efforts,there are many needful people which require self less work. The only thing is that we need to keep the desire burning."
How to spend your salary? I am sure most of you especially the
recently earning ones like me must have given this issue some real
thought. Well to me this topic constituted a shell enclosing myself
and my family. Society and service, I believed came in a later phase
of life.
It was when I was in this state of mind that few of my batchmates
came into picture talking about bigger things like spreading education
to rural India. Things were put in very simple terms- spend hundred
rupees per month and impart education to a child. The idea I felt was
striking but questions kept arising in my mind. Is it really possible?
What will be the reaction of the fellow mates? From there, here we
are, with the project karmapath taken shape.
It is shocking to realize that even now a number of children in our
country have been deprived of education, especially in the rural
areas. Its time we give a little thought on how easily our things have
been taken care of. Often we take these things for granted. Now when
we can help, it’s the right time to act. If educated people like us
wouldn’t give a helping hand for education, who will???
So let us join hands with karmapath- the path of action, to light a
smile on younger faces. "
